Bare Electrolysis Edmonton policies

Cancellation / No-show

We would ask that any cancellation be done at least a full 24 hours
or more before when the appointment is scheduled.

Any appointment canceled in less than 24 hours the appointment or no-shows
is subject to a 50% fee of the scheduled appointment. The cancellation fee will
depend on how long your appointment is and is based on the payment amount
for that time and and will be 50% of the rate charged for the time you booked.

For example if your appointment was for 1 hour and the fee for 1 hour of
electrolysis is $110.00 per hour then you would be subject to a cancelation
fee of $55.00. This is mearly an example of what a cancellation fee could look like.

Punctuality

Punctuality is extreremely important and all clients need to show up at least
10 minutes or more before their scheduled appointments.

If a client shows up late for their appointment then no additional time will be added
to the appointment to make up for the lateness of the client which means we may not
be able to remove all of the hairs.

So it is extremely important that clients show up at least 10 minutes or more
prior to their scheduled appointment.

Hydration

Hydration is key in electrolysis proper hydration is very important in electrolysis
and I would ask that all clients drink as much water as possible before their
electroylsis session.

Good hydration in a client facilitates a better conductivty because the skin has
a higher moisture content. It also causes insertions to be easier for the individual
who is doing the electrolysis as well.

Please ensure that all clients are properly hydrated prior to the appointment to
ensure a succesful session and to obtain the best results possible.

Protection of area after the treatment

It is important that after your electrolysis appointment that you have proper
protection in the form of sunscreen to protect the area that was just treated
with electrolysis.  Failure to protect the treated area could mean that the treated
area may develop sun spots.  When electrolysis is applied to an area of skin
it makes the area more sensitive to light and must be protected afterwards.

It is the responsbility of the client to provide SPF 50 sunscreen or greater
to protect the skin after your treatment.

It is advised to avoid direct exposure to sunlight for at least 24 hours
after treatment to prevent hyperpigmentation (darkening of the skin)
which is also known as sunspots.

Other tips for after your treatment to ensure a smooth recovery

  • Do not touch or scratch the area
  • Avoid any friction to the treated area
  • Apply a smoothing or antiseptic product over the area that is sensitive or  subjected to infection during the first 48+ hours after the treatment.
  • Apply cold water or an ice compress if needed
  • Apply Neosporin Cream over the areas subjected to infections, one time during 24 hours after treatment
  • Avoid hot baths and saunas.
  • Do not visit a tanning salon.
  • Avoid exposure to U.V radiation for 24 hours before the treatment and 48 hours after treatment.
  • After 5 to 7+ days or when redness disappears, exfoliate, and moisturize the area

If you need ideas on a product to apply for after your treatment to sooth your skin please speak
to a staff member at Bare Electrolysis Edmonton and we will be happy to recommend a product for you.
